Porches

Here is the story of a porch remodel.
Once there was a sad and smelly porch. Its paint was peeling, its boards were rotting, and everyone tried to use the back door to avoid walking on that porch. Fortunately, Steady Hand Steve arrived just in time. The old, ugly porch came down quickly. Using locally sourced beams and iron elements forged by an area blacksmith, Steve set posts, created a perfectly level roof, and started to smooth the ground for a brick patio. Before he was done, however, the homeowners moved out there with chairs and a grill. They were willing to step aside so Steve could finish the patio. While he was at it, he went ahead and re-sided the house. Now, family, friends, and salesmen alike all use the front door, stopping to marvel at the transformation of a sad porch into a delightful new living space.
